Food Safety and Standards Authority of India [FSSAI] has made the following 2 training mandatory:
Every Food handler needs to undergo this awareness training to understand the extra precautions to be taken during the COVID Pandemic.
Food Safety Supervisor:
For every 25 food handlers or less, there should be 1 Food Safety Supervisor [FSS] trained under the Food Safety Training and Certification [FoSTaC], per site
19 types of competence based (Food Safety Supervisor) certification programmes and one Awareness course on Covid19 Guidelines for Food Industry are available under FoSTaC.
Duration of FSS courses is of 4 to 12 hours spreading over 1 to 2 days and awareness course is of 2 hours. Courses have been developed by domain experts and vetted by expert committee of FSSAI.
The training materials under each course are based on General Hygiene & Sanitary requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices as detailed under schedule 4 of FSS (Licensing and Registration of Food Business) Regulation, 2011. The courses have been divided into following 3 levels
NISHE: National Institute of Safety Health and Environment is the training partner of FSSAI’s FoSTaC program and offers the training courses as per the FSSAI’s training module to ensure excellence in food safety and hygiene across the food value chain.
All our training sessions are conducted by a certified FSSAI trainer, providing comprehensive training modules to help you comply with the regulatory standards.
